Bali is called the island of gods or the last paradise on Earth. During this trip, you will find out that these are not just empty slogans. Immerse yourself in the harmony of the Balinese countryside, experience the slow pace of everyday life, encounter the spirituality of the people, and delve into traditional art. You will be surrounded by Balinese mysticism, the scent of frangipani flowers and incense sticks.

The friendly villagers will gladly show you around the plantations of tropical fruits and spices. Later we will visit the local elementary school (closed on weekends and school holidays) at Tunjuk Village, which is located in Tabanan Regency. You will experience the Balinese life in its purest and simplest form. Return to your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 3: Tanah Lot – Alas Kedaton – Jatiluwih – Balian (B)

Start your day with breakfast and drive to Tanah Lot – the 16th-century pilgrimage Hindu temple. In the lush rainforest, you will meet hundreds of monkeys, the inhabitants of the local sanctuary. Continue to Jatiluwih Village, famous for its sweeping rice terraces. We will spend some time to admire the magnificent landscape and enjoy lunch here (at your own expense). Next, if we still have time, we can head south to picturesque Pekutatan or Balian Beach and stop at Bali Butterfly Park – the home to birdwing butterfly and many other rare and endemic species. Return to the hotel for a rest.

During snorkeling, we will explore the rich diversity of marine life trying to spot schools of batfish, jackfish, angelfish, tuna and sea turtles, along with the outstanding multicolored coral reef gardens. Menjangan Island is world-famous for wall-diving; the water is crystal clear here. After snorkeling, the boat will take us back to Menjangan where you can take a stroll down the unspoiled, secluded beaches or visit the forest (if you are lucky, you might meet the local inhabitant – the Menjangan deer itself). Return to your hotel and rest.

Day 6: Pemuteran – Kintamani – Tirta Gangga – Amed (B)

This morning, after breakfast, we will drive along the northern coastline to Jemeluk Beach in Amed. On the way, we will visit Beji Temple – one of the oldest temples in Bali, dedicated to the goddess Dewi Sri who protects Bali’s irrigated rice paddies. We will stop for lunch (at your own expense) in the restaurant overlooking Mount Batur with the spectacular view of the crater lake set in a vast volcanic twin-caldera. The next stop on our way will be Tirta Gangga, the sacred water palace built by the last Raja of Karangasem Kingdom. This lovely spot is perfect to unwind or walk around the maze of decorative ponds and fountains. Surrounded by lush flora and natural bathing pools has a real vibe of old Bali. Upon arrival in Amed, famous for its beaches, lined with traditional outrigger fishing boats, check-in to your hotel and rest for overnight.

The boat takes you for some fabulous views of the quiet fishing village on the edge of a rocky, black volcanic beach, famous for snorkeling and diving. If you prefer diving, we can arrange a trip to Tulamben where just offshore lies one of the best sunken shipwrecks in the world, 130 meters long USS Liberty Wreck.

The local delicacy is the salak wine, manufactured only here. Later we will continue to visit the magnificent Pura Besakih, known as the Mother Temple and the most important temple in Bali.
